Spring 2010 Scrub Designs
Spring is around the corner; it is closer in the southern states than the northern states. Designers have had their spring lines ready well in advance of the time when you will see buds and sprouts in nature. There are new trends that you can look forward to for the spring of 2010. Just like in nature sprouting shoots and blossoming flowers will be replacing lifeless branches and barren ground, designers want to break out of the winter doldrums and breakout new colorful designs.
One of the scrubs design departments that is located in Austin, Texas has already announced the Spring 2010 color pallet. They have announced that it will include the following colors:
Lemon
Fuchsia
Red
Salmon
Rose
Lavender
Green
Blue
Gray
Spring blossoms, new grass, and bright blue skies have inspired the colors in the spring lines. The colors will be integrated into many of the same medical scrubs styles that have already been seen throughout this winter. These colors will also be seen in other fashions outside of the medical world this spring, as well. This just goes to show that, once again, the medical world is making an attempt to keep up with current fashion trends.
This is clearly seen in the various colors that will be used (green, lilac, olive, and even peacock). Of course, you will be surprised some other new colors, prints, and designs, which havent yet been introduced yet. Some of the new colors are familiar colors with a slightly different and varied tint. Mostly it is the name of the colors that are what is really new!
For men, there wont be much new in prints or in colors. There will still be the basic colors and prints like, camouflage. Most men dont really mind, because they are happy with the basics. As more men request more fashionable scrubs and seasonal scrubs, the manufacturers are expected to listen. Until men speak up, it is expected that the manufacturers will focus their efforts on providing women with new and seasonal nursing scrub designs.
Besides these new colors, many nursing scrubs manufacturers say that they will continue to be manufacturing scrubs in basic colors like slate gray and pink (i.e. Pantones Salmon Rose). Manufacturers believe that by offering doctors, nurses, caregivers, and other medical professionals more color choices for both doctors offices and hospitals that they will be able to be more uplifting to patients.
Color has always been very important whenever it comes to fashion, regardless of what that color may be. This spring you will be seeing a lot more vibrant colors that will be competing with the show of flowers in spring gardens. Every designer will be making their own color choices though. These will be dependent upon the facilitys needs, the latest trends, and the function of the scrubs. Fortunately, after a winter that was filled with dark colors, this springs color choices are going to be rich, beautiful, and welcoming.
Pantone has become a mainstay for color in the design world, so it should also be really easy to be able to find a pair of matching shoes or a matching handbag that will go nicely with your new set of scrubs.

What’s the best software for designing cafe menu’s etc?
I would like to design a new menu style for my mother’s new cafe, the current one looks abit….naff.
Thanks.
Well, this question can have numerous answers – depending upon what level of design you want to involve in your menu.
In simple words, ANY Desktop Publishing Tool can help you make what you want – depending on how well can you work with the software.
You can use simply any thing be it – MS Word or OpenOffice Writer or Pagemaker or Photoshop or any other DTP tool. The quality of menu completely depends on how well can you work with the Software. I can turn any idea in you mind to best-quality-reality using any and/or all of these.
And then, it’s only my opinion. May be others can help you out with more options.
Good luck with the choices.

I have designed a cafe yet am unsure what equipment to order for my kitchen?
i am designing a cafe for an assessment task but i don’t know what equipment to place in my kitchen i.e colanders, chopping boards
I assume you are new to the restaurant business. The items you mentioned and higher cost items such as ovens, mixers, sinks, refrigerators and freezers are all most effectively priced used at restaurant equipment companies.
Use your savings for advertising, food, ambience and maybe a piano, microphone
or music system.
Walk around one or two such supply houses and you will get ideas from salad bars to cappachino machines. Hint: a cup of cappachino might cost 40 cents and can be sold for $4.00. A $3 pizza may be sold for $12.00. Look to sell higher mark-up items which might include waffles, yogurt and ice-cream, soda by fountain, kegged beer, french fries or pasta.
Good Luck
