Can anyone give me a brief for my Applied art and design A level exam?
For my final A level applied art and design exam i have to think of my own design brief, with its own back story and constraints.
For example other projects have been to design a charity box for one of 3 charities, it must fit on a shop counter and be flat pack, or design a movie poster for a film that it coming out at christmas, the poster must include a picture of the two main characters, date of release and a title etc.
It can be a 3d or 2d project and my final design has to be completed within 15 hours, I was thinking of jewelery design but cant think of a brief or constraints, but any ideas are welcome thank you x

How about: The jewelry is for little girls (or maybe older woman) who don’t have pierced ears, so they all have to be clip-ons.

Or, you’re making jewelry and the proceeds are going to an organization that supports people with allergies, so you can only use hypoallergenic materials.

Also, making jewelry for color-blind people might be interesting. That way you’d have to rely solely on the shape and form of your pieces and perhaps the value of colors rather than their hue.

Need help finding a custom design chocolate shop for xmas wedding proposal.?
    Hi there,

My plan is to propose to my girlfriend on Christmas Day, by having a ring box inside her present box, however I’m trying to find somewhere that will design a box made out of chocolate, preferably with a lid that comes off.

I know it’s a hard task to find something like this, however I thought it was a sweet and romantic way to propose. The only problem is that I can’t find a website or shop that does such a thing.

I need to find a shop that will design a box, made out of chocolate, big enough to fit a ring box inside. Either sealed with the ring-box inside, or with a lid that can be taken off. This shop also needs to be in the UK preferably.

Anyone got any suggestions, or if not, any ideas that might work instead?
Thanks Angela for the helpful response, the website doesn’t work that you linked, it says page not found… And I’m in London so I have a few thorntons nearby, I’ll have to go and ask them tomorrow.

Lets see if anyone else can help me with more suggestions :)

that’s sweet. I don’t know any chocolate shop in UK, why don’t you ask you local bakery/chocolate shop if they can do a chocolate gift box for you.

here’s another idea, I read this somewhere and thought it was sweet. Put the ring in a nice jewel box.. She’ll think that the box is her christmas present then you tell her to open the last drawer of the box and she’ll find the ring there..

      good luck!
